Bids accepted for lease lands

March 6, 2006

    Sealed bids for agricultural leasing of 49 parcels of 7,100 acres of federal lease lands will be accepted until 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Klamath Basin Area Office of the Bureau of Reclamation.
   A public bid opening will be at the office at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
   Open for bid in Area K on the Lower Klamath Federal lease lands in Oregon are 17 grain lots with one available for organic farming.
   Open for bid on the Tule Lake Federal lease lands in California are an assortment of sump lots with two available for organic farming.
   Bidding instructions and forms are available at the Klamath Basin Area Office, 6600 Washburn Way, and at the Tulelake Irrigation District, 2717 Havlina Road, Tulelake.
   Information on the lease lands program can be viewed online at www.usbr.gov/ mp/kbao.
