Great Blue Heron

Great blue herons are frequently seen in irrigation canals as well as other wetland areas within the Upper Klamath Basin watershed.  This species is common most months with numbers decreasing in the winter.

Other Habitats: Riparian; Seasonal and shallow marshes; Permanent marshes and deep wetlands
