This  "Comment"  is  from Lorraine Fine .. Thanks Loraine !!

I'm having one of those wanting to rage on just about anyone and everyone days. Anyhow, here are some thoughts that have  been wandering around in my head:

I really believe that a good share of the money going to these environmental groups are coming from people who are too lazy  or busy to look into what these groups are really doing. They feel they are doing their part in protecting the environment by just
writing a check. Conscience appeased.... life goes on. And as we all believe, large chunks of this money finds its way into the  pockets of the administrative employees of these organizations. So, it becomes apparent, to me at least, that these administrative  employees first and last concern is to keep that money flowing. Concerns about the environment is way down on the list, but is a  useful front for the gathering of the green.

It seems to me that the message that should be written in the sky, is that every time a timber operation is shut down, or farming  acreage shrinks, the problem they claim they are solving in this country, is only being shifted to a different part of the world.  Statistics regarding loss of rain forest, loss of habitat and other "real" environmental problems, all over the world, are shocking.  Just another example of "imperialist America" shipping our problems elsewhere, and stripping the benefits for as long as it is  feasible. Then our tax dollars will be used to fix the mess we've made. However, with any thinking at all, it becomes pretty  obvious this is a very short term solution. Wonder where the Al Gores, Bruce Babbitts & Wendell Woods of the world will be  when time runs out. I believe we are just now seeing the tip of the iceburg.
