Bucket symbol of cutoff’s impact
Herald and News Letter to the Editor September 15, 2008, by James Ottoman, Klamath Falls
Since May 7, 2001, millions of dollars have been spent on fish screens and ladders, and dam removal and thousands of acres of agricultural land have been turned into wetlands — all for the survival of fish.
The bucket in front of the Klamath County Government Center is the only reminder of the many farmers — old and young — who did not survive the water cutoff.
Please do not remove the bucket.
