Farm Bureau to host dinner auction

The Modoc County Farm Bureau will host a dinner meeting and auction Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Brass Rail Restaurant in Alturas. The event is open to the public.

A social hour will begin at 6 p.m. and the dinner, which will include rib steak, baked potato, ravioli, green salad, bread and ice cream, will start at 7 p.m. Dinner will cost $18 per person.

A quilt will be auctioned during the evening and another will be raffled. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit the group's scholarship fund.
