Congratulations to the Herald and News for going "green."

Due to your penchant for slanted news and front page editorials, which are generally at odds with local sentiment, your paper continues to get thinner and thinner. There's so little paper in your paper anymore that I have to
save toilet tissue to start my wood stove in the morning. Anyhow, thanks to your reduced newsprint needs and declining circulation I figure that in the past 5 years you've saved a year's pulp production of the Winema National Forest. Your efforts have done more than the top three tree-hugger organizations to preserve our forests. Don't stop
now! Your continued progressive editorial policies will spare the lives of countless more trees. The spotted owls salute you for putting conservation above profit!
