Day-Long Mineral Process Seminar at Baker City April 7th

Noted metallurgist Thom Seal, P.E., Ph.D. from Newmont Mining in Nevada will be bringing a consortium of speakers to Baker City on Saturday, April 7, 2007.  Joining Dr. Seal will be Garland Davis from FFE Minerals and Sean Armstrong of Cytec Industries who will take you from mineral exploration to mining operations in this full day event.  Topics on the agenda include liberation, comminution, classification, separation, tails, refractory ores, leaching, refining, material handling, and process controls.  Site specific problems, flow sheet help, and where to find answers will also be addressed.  The event will begin at 8 a.m. and last until approximately 5 p.m. 
 
All are welcome to attend the monthly meeting of the Eastern Oregon Mining Association, hosts of the seminar, on Friday evening before the event to meet Dr. Seal and hear his presentation on the Carson Trend Mine.
