March 13, 2007:

Mid Klamath Restoration Forum: A group has formed to develop a fisheries restoration strategy for the mid Klamath River sub-basin from Iron Gate Dam to the Trinity River confluence- not including the Shasta, Scott, and Salmon sub-basins. The group is called the Mid Klamath Restoration Forum and is composed of all stakeholders and the interested public. Stakeholders participating to data include State and Federal Agencies, the Karuk Tribe, the SRRC, and MKWC.

Our next meeting - open to everyone - will be held at the "cookhouse" at the lower compound of the Happy Camp Ranger District in Happy Camp March 13th from 10 AM until 3 PM. If needed, ask the receptionist at the Happy Camp Ranger District office on Highway 96 for directions to the cookhouse. The phone number of the Happy Camp Ranger District Office is 530 493-2243.
