Sen. Merkley to host town hall meetings Tuesday, April 3
 
U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., will host town hall meetings in Southern Oregon, including one in Klamath County to address local issues such as water and national issues such as the economy, according to a news release.

The local town hall will be at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, at Lost River High School, 23330 Highway 50, in Merrill.

“Town hall meetings are a chance for Sen. Merkley to hear directly from constituents about their concerns and answer their questions,” said Courtney Warner Crowell, deputy communications director in Merkley’s office.

She said Merkley likely will address congressional issues, the economy and water issues.

In 2008, Merkley planned to host town halls in each of Oregon’s 36 counties every year, a press release said. Along with visiting Klamath County, Merkley will visit Jackson, Curry and Josephine counties. They will be the 16th through the
