News Conference to Address Nation's Urgent Water Crisis

Washington, DC - Chairman Richard W. Pombo (R-CA) of the House Resources Committee will lead a news conference tomorrow, Wednesday, April 21, 2004, to announce introduction of HR 3834, the Desalination Energy Assistance Act of 2004, which is aimed at solving America's long-term water needs.    

Desalination converts seawater and brackish water into pure drinking water.  This is a timely issue for urban and rural communities throughout the nation.
