Merkley to host town halls in Klamath, Lake counties April 3

Herald and News 3/28/18

Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) will host town halls in Klamath, Lake, Deschutes and Jefferson counties on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 3 and 4, according to a news release.

The Klamath Falls town hall will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 3 at Oregon Tech’s Student Union, in the Mazama-Scott room. The Lakeview town hall will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Elks Lodge No. 1536 at 323 N. F St.

Merkley will update constituents on his work in Washington, D.C., answer questions and invite their suggestions about how to tackle the challenges facing Oregon and America.

“In our ‘We the People’ democracy, town hall meetings are an essential tool for me to hear from Oregonians and represent their interests back in D.C.,” Merkley said. “I invite everyone in these counties to come and discuss what we need to do to strengthen our state and our nation.”

Since joining the Senate in 2009, Merkley has held a town hall in each of Oregon’s 36 counties every year.
