Pombo Appoints Resources Committee Leaders

PRESS RELEASE -- House Committee of Resources 1/26/05

Washington, DC - Today Chairman Richard W. Pombo (R-CA) announced the appointment of the Resources Committee Vice-Chair and its five subcommittee chairmen. The leadership of the Resources Committee in the 109th Congress will be as follows:

Rep. Barbara Cubin (WY) - Vice-Chair, House Committee on Resources

Rep. Jim Gibbons (NV) - Chairman, Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources

Rep. George Radanovich (CA) - Chairman, Subcommittee on Water and Power

Rep. Greg Walden (OR) - Chairman, Subcommittee on Forests and Forest Health

Rep. Devin Nunes (CA) - Chairman, Subcommittee on National Parks

Rep. Wayne Gilchrest (MD) - Chairman, Subcommittee on Fisheries & Oceans

"Barbara Cubin has unsurpassed knowledge of, and experience with, the policy matters before the Resources Committee," Chairman Pombo said. "I look forward to having her at my side as Vice Chair to lead this panel in the 109th Congress. Barbara's proven leadership will be critical to our success."
