Estimates for water now online

June 1, 2005

Daily crop water usage estimates for Klamath Basin irrigators and research progress reports are now available on the Internet from the Intermountain Research and Extension Center through the University of California.

New additions to the extension's Web site include posting of the most recent Research Progress Reports, as well as reports from previous years, and real-time estimates of daily crop water use for the Klamath Basin.

Research reports include information on topics like alfalfa and cereal variety evaluations, white rot and weed control in onions, and potato variety evaluations.

Posting of degree days for Columbia Root Knot nematode on the Web site is still developing. This information will be posted for the assessment of nematode pressures during the crop year and may be useful for timing the application of post-emergence nematicides.
