$$$$$$$$$$ that has created the NGO's and bought the media, the attorneys, the reps, the government agencies, some local leaders, for an agenda; call it "rewilding," Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement/KBRA, depopulation, hydro dam destruction, or conspiracy theories. Soros and Weeden and Walton and Ford Foundations.  Gov't agencies, farm leaders, enviros insist the KBRA is a "bottom up" local solution!?

Who is George Soros?  < Read this link

Billionaire George Soros is blamed for the financial collapses of Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Russian and the Bank of England.

He said he will take down the United States of America next.

HERE is a condensed video on George Soros, who he is and his plan for the United States.

What does George Soros have to do with Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement?

Soros created the Open Society Institute in 1993 to fund his foundations he began establishing in 1983. His network
        is in 60 countries including the United States.

HERE is a list of some entities that Soros funds.

Soros is a funder of Earth justice, that litigates for PCFFA and IFR and other KBRA NGO's.

=================================================

* Sam Walton of Walmart. How is he involved with the KBRA, and George Soros?

==================================================

* Farmer Steve Kandra formed two groups that support the KBRA. Kandra's group Prosper partnered with California Trout for "studies" supporting dam removal. George Soros funds National Heritage Institute which represents Prosper's partner California Trout.

==================================================

* Glen Spain is regional director of IFR /  Institute for Fisheries Resources, and of Pacific Coast Federation of Fishermen / PCFFA, parent organization of IFR. Glen Spain represents PCFFA and IFR at the KBRA negotiation table.

HERE is the story by PCFFA how they created IFR to get non-profit funding, namely, George Soros-funded Earthjustice to sue resource users. http://www.pcffa.org/fn-jul03.htm

"Rather than seek out yet another unrelated non-profit to funnel the money through, PCFFA created a new organization..." IFR / Institute for Fisheries Resources.

 "Most of Bingham’s work and all of (Glen) Spain’s were funded through grants and contracts that could only go through a 501(c)(3) non-profit – which was IFR. ...they can ... thank Earthjustice for suing the bastards to protect the fish and get better river flows, and thank IFR for providing fishermen the wherewithal to fight for their fish and their communities."

"In the Northwest, Glen Spain brought IFR into prominence on Columbia River Basin salmon restoration issues, working to build politically effective coalitions between fishermen and conservation groups through the Save Our Wild Salmon Coalition"

KBC Note: PCFFA litigated against the irrigators keeping their reasonable power rate, against them in the takings case from when the government shut off water in 2001 to 1400 family farms,. In 2009

SIERRA CLUB, PACIFIC COAST FEDERATION OF FISHERMEN’S ASSOCIATIONS, INSTITUTE FOR FISHERIES RESOURCES, FRIENDS OF THE EEL RIVER, FRIENDS OF THE NAVARRO WATERSHED, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION INFORMATION CENTER, NORTHCOAST ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER, and KLAMATH RIVERKEEPER, non-profit organizations,

 Ca State Water Resources Control Board to enforce mandatory TMDLs, where resource users must make the naturally mineral laden Klamath Lake and River prestine. Attorney: Soros-funded Earthjustice.

PCFFA/IFR, with their many groups, sued against Klamath irrigator's power rates, Klamath miners, against California Delta irrigators, Scott and Shasta irrigators, ..., with their Soros-funded Earthjustice.

* Sustainable Northwest / SNW founder and president is Martin Goebel

SNW president Martin Goebel was director of World Wildlife Fund, which is partner of United Nations Foundation with George Soros and Ford Foundation.

Soros funds Tides, who funds World Wildlife Fund, The Nature Conservancy.....

Goebel is Trustee for Summit Charitable Foundation owned by Roger Sant. The company is a five year span granted Sustainable NW $342,875.  The funds come from Sant's company AES, worldwide developer of power in 29 countries, power "from coal to gas to renewables such as wind, hydro and biomass."

       Writer Toni Thayer writes on KBC discussion forum: SNW "founder and president, Martin Goebel, has previous ties to The Nature Conservancy and World Wildlife Fund. Goebel is a trustee of the Summit Charitable Foundation which has assets of nearly $75 million. This foundation belongs to the Mormon Roger Sant and his money from Applied Energy Services Corp, AES, “worldwide developer of power projects”, “a global power company operating in 29 countries”. Most of the power for global AES comes from “unsustainable” and “non-renewable” coal and natural gas. But, hey, that’s OK if his donation money comes from dirty industries, just as long as it keeps coming, right? That dirty money, no doubt, pays your dirty salary...I wonder if he/his foundation/his global power company could have a conflict of interest related to power generated by those “renewable” Klamath dams they want removed?"

     Sustainable NW Klamath Programs Director James Honey's background includes complex class action litigation, and conservation work with the World Wildlife Fund Mexico and the California Hydropower Reform Coalition. George Soros funds World Wildlife Fund. Many in the CHRC dam removal coalition are partners on the KBRA

      SNW hired National Heritage Institute for services. NHI  is funded by George Soros, Sierra Club, Trout Unlimited, American Rivers, Environmental Defense, The Nature Conservancy, World Bank...

        Sustainable Northwest former board member Becky Hyde, at KBRA table, has been employed by Sustainable NW ($63,835 in 2007), which has worked for Klamath Tribes. The KBRA gives the tribes 92,000 acres of forest land, supports the tribes creating a power plant along with ripping out 4 hydro dams on the Klamath River. Hyde claims to represent all the off-project irrigators, however only represents a few in her newly formed off-project group. The other decades-old groups are not allowed at the table.

      One of SNW top 2010 contributor is from Brainerd Foundation, which funds Non Governmental Organizations.
HERE are some Brainerd Foundation Conquests and some of their Grantees, including Earthjustice, Oregon
Wild, Wilderness Society, Trout Unlimited.

      PacifiCorp gave SNW $10,000 or more in 2010. PacifiCorp owns the 4 Klamath River Dams that SNW and the NGO's want demolished.

      Pacificorp gives to:  http://www.thefreshwatertrust.org/education/nocli  who is involved with  Soros/Tides National Wildlife Federation

       William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and Ford Foundation donated $10,000 or more to SNW and to Tides.

Dam removal in Washington part of growing movement, Banger Daily News, posted to KBC 9/18/11. "What once seemed radical is now mainstream,” said American Rivers President Bob Irvin, whose group has advocated dam removal for environmental reasons. “All of these are experiments in how nature can restore itself, and the Elwha is the biggest example of that.” The pace of removal has quickened, with 241 dams demolished between 2006 and 2010, a more than 40 percent increase over the previous five years...A drumbeat of litigation by tribes and environmental groups has pushed federal officials to dismantle some dams that otherwise would have remained in place. (KBC NOTE: American Rivers is an exclusive KBRA stakeholder voting member. George Soros helps fund Earthjustice, who pays for American Rivers attorney fees. Earthjustice also pays the bills for other environmental groups on the KBRA "stakeholder" voting members, and also those opposed, yet all in the same coalitions: PCFFA, Klamath Wildlands, Karuk Tribe, Oregon Wild, ....." Some are still in litigation against Klamath Basin irrigators. American Rivers and many KBRA voting "stakeholders" and opposing groups are in the coalition to destroy the Snake and Colombia River dams.

* 1/23/11 - Grants by Weeden Foundation, more than $200,000 in the Klamath Basin in 2008 alone, including defeating irrigation interests in the Klamath Takings Case, producing Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement/KBRA reports, influencing Biological Opinions, enforcing TMDLs/water quality mandates, more roadless areas and wilderness designations, Andy Kerr's abolishing grazing, KBRA NGO stakeholder group scientific "peer review,"  attorney fees for wildlands and anti resource use. Between 1999-2002 they donated $45,000 to Sustainable Northwest. Many of the grantees are "stakeholders" at the KBRA negotiation table.

How Alton Jones Foundation (known now as Blue Moon Fund) Switched from Art and Culture to Radical Green, posted 4/20/11. KBC NOTE: Many of the grantees, like Earthjustice, are the same recipients funded by George Soros and federal dollars, that fund lawsuits against Klamath Irrigators, miners, loggers, ...... (KBC reader who contacted us: thanks for the alert to fix bad links in Alton Jones page!)

Environmentalism on taxpayers' dime, Victorville Daily Press Opinion April 18, 2011. "... the Center is one of four environmental groups seeking to protect the “spring run” of the Upper Klamath chinook salmon under the Endangered Species Act by submitting a petition seeking to designate the fish as a “distinct species....between 2000 and 2009, eight environmental groups — led by the Center for Biological Diversity — filed at least 1,596 federal court cases against the federal government....These same environmental groups are receiving billions of tax dollars in attorney fees for settling or ‘winning’ cases against the federal government.”

Taxpayer-funded job security, letter by Family Farm Alliance executive director Dan Keppen, Siskiyou Daily News and Tuscon Citizen, posted to KBC 6/9/11

* IF YOU LIKE GEORGE SOROS, YOU'LL LOVE THE KBRA *

What do Craig Tucker, Andy Kerr, Oregon Wild, EPIC, Center for Biological Diversity, Earth Justice and George Soros have in common?
Chinook salmon won’t be protected, Groups sought ESA listing for spring chinook in Upper Klamath, H&N, posted to KBC 3/7/12. "Federal biologists found spring chinook are part of the same genetic group as chinook returning in the fall, which are expected to return in record numbers this year." KBC NOTE: Karuk spokesman Craig Tucker disagreed. Tucker is a voting member on the KBRA, board member of Klamath Riverkeeper who is presently suing to shut down mining on the Klamath River and rip out Drinnell dam of Lake Shastina, and is in coalitions with those petitioning to list Chinook on the Klamath River, which would further take water from Klamath irrigators. See Craig Tucker Page for info on his dam removal activism. Tucker's groups are clients of Earthjustice.

RELATED ARTICLES and Information:
New listing could impact farmers, Chinook salmon petition may lead to less water for producers, H&N 3/3/11.
Environmental groups want Klamath River salmon listed as Endangered Species, KCRV, posted to KBC 1/28/11.
Who are the players?
Petitioner Larch Company = Andy Kerr. Kerr opposes grazing on public lands, timber harvest, was involved with ONRC which is now Oregon Wild, and opposes Klamath Agriculture. He has employed
Kelly Moser, a former Dept of Justice Attorney who planned http://www.pielc.org/Brochures/2002.pdf global Environmental Law Conference 2002 with speakers George Foreman of Earth First, Klamath Tribal Attorney Bud Uhlman of the KBRA, PCFFA Glen Spain of the KBA, etc. Moser represented the United States in its trust capacity for Indian tribes in suits establishing water rights in the Klamath River Basin, establishing and protecting hunting and fishing rights, and establishing reservation boundaries.
Petitioner Center for Biological Diversity is a client of Earthjustice. Earthjustice is funded partly by George Soros.
Petitioner Oregon Wild, formerly ONRC (Andy Kerr) is client of Earthjustice.
Petitioner Environmental Protection Information Center is client of Earthjustice.

"...Earthjustice has represented hundreds of organizations, large and small, across the country, all free of charge. The organization has also formed alliances with other organizations, both domestic and in Canada, Latin America, and Russia."
Besides the Klamath dams, Earthjustice and Oregon Wild are in Save our Wild Salmon Coalition, whose goal is to destroy the Snake and Columbia Dams. Many in this coalition are our "friends" at the KBRA table.

National Marine Fisheries Service: ‘Chinook not endangered, Siskiyou Daily News, posted to KBC 4/7/12. "The agency says several studies have “found that spring-run and fall-run populations in the Salmon River were nearly indistinguishable genetically and that spring and fall-run populations in the South Fork Trinity were extremely similar to each other and to the Trinity River hatchery stocks.”
